There will be No COD for Redmi Note 5 Pro for few sales, Due to issues being faced by a majority of people during the first 2 flash sales, Xiaomi has come up with the solution for the same by ditching COD (Cash on Delivery) Option for few sales, Which means User will have to pay the whole amount while buying the phone, using credit/debit card. This Policy won’t imply on Mi TV it will be available using COD.
Xiaomi confirmed No COD for Redmi Note 5 Pro by tweeting the same:
Here is what the link/thread says:
“Dear Mi fans,
We always strive to ensure that our Mi Fans have access to the latest in Xiaomi technology. We have put in a lot of efforts to meet huge consumer demand and increase our supplies.
As per IDC, our sales have rocketed from approximately 1 million units per quarter in 2015 end to approximately 9 million per quarter in 2017 end, which translates to 9X growth within two years. We understand that many of you have not been able to buy Redmi Note 5, Redmi Note 5 Pro and Mi TV 4, despite us bringing very large quantities (more than 3 Lakh units in the 1st sale itself).
In order to restrict reselling, we have decided to remove COD payment option for the upcoming sales of Redmi Note 5 Pro on mi.com and Flipkart (Only for initial few sales). This would give a better chance to our Mi fans to purchase our products.
With this arrangement, we hope you can easily buy your favorite device from mi.com and Flipkart”
Hope this idea of ditching COD for Redmi Note 5 Pro lets the genuine Buyers get the phones during the flash sales which will be on 7th March at 12.00 PM.
